Job Description
As a Hydraulics Service Engineer in the Shipbuilding Sector or Heavy Engineering industry, your primary responsibility will be to handle production, installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and service support for hydraulic systems in marine and shipyard systems. This role will involve frequent travel and direct engagement with customers, predominantly shipyards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Project team during various project phases, including design, production, testing, calibration, flushing, and performance verification of systems.
- Install and commission main systems, conduct preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot hydraulic components, and attend breakdown calls to restore equipment operation promptly.
- Conduct periodic inspections, monitor system conditions, maintain service records, and report to management.
- Possess experience in diagnostics and troubleshooting, including analysing hydraulic circuits, interpreting engineering drawings, identifying root causes of failures, and implementing corrective actions.
- Utilize hydraulic testing tools, support system tuning and optimization, and demonstrate knowledge of various hydraulic systems, equipment, and components.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 12-15 years of experience in the marine and shipbuilding environment.
- Proven track record in the specific field.
Soft skills and competencies:
- Proficiency in spoken and written English and local languages.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and other Office software.
- Strong analytical judgment, high mobility, and readiness for extensive travel.
- Strategic thinking coupled with hands-on execution capability.

- Demonstrates a high ownership mindset, ethical conduct, and compliance in all dealings.
