Job Description
As a Human Resources Business Partner at Fieldpiece Instruments, you will have the exciting opportunity to open and establish a new office in Hyderabad, Telangana. Reporting directly to the CHRO in the US, you will be the sole HR professional in India and will play a crucial role in building and developing the office from scratch. Your responsibilities will include managing the office, collaborating with local service providers for payroll and compliance, and working closely with US-based managers to recruit more than 20 high-caliber technical professionals within the first year. This role presents a unique opportunity to be a founding member of the HR team in India.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Build the India HR Foundation and Office**
- Partner with local HR/payroll vendors and legal counsel to establish India-specific HR policies in compliance with Indian labor laws and global standards
- Act as a strategic advisor to the US-based CHRO and leadership team to align India talent strategy with global business objectives
- Implement HR systems and processes for effective operations
- **Scale the Hyderabad Team**
- Collaborate in workforce planning to hire approximately 22 professionals in the first year across various technical roles
- Develop robust recruiting pipelines and enhance employer branding locally
- Drive structured onboarding and performance management processes
- Cultivate a high-performance, inclusive culture through engagement initiatives and retention strategies
- Provide coaching and guidance to managers and leaders on employee relations matters
**Qualifications:**
- **What You Bring**
- 10+ years of experience in HR, including senior HR Business Partner or HR Leader roles
- Demonstrated track record in building or scaling India operations for a US or multinational company, with a focus on engineering or technology
- Proficiency in Telangana employment law and statutory compliance
- Previous experience managing a new office and HR operations as the sole HR leader
- Fluent professional English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Familiarity with Workday or other global Human Capital Management (HCM) platforms
