Functional and Automation Testing Manager

As a candidate for this role, you will be expected to demonstrate technical leadership by applying robust testing methodologies with a quality-first mindset. Your responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring that testing is performed individually and by the team at all levels (regression, end to end, system, etc.) for each release cycle.
• Defining, implementing, and maintaining detailed test plans, test cases, and procedures through close collaboration with product and development teams.
• Developing an in-depth technical understanding of the entire software platform (AOSP, API, UI interaction) to be able to root cause issues at the first level.
• Identifying and driving automation-related activities through proactive automation planning and prioritization.
• Introducing and driving engineering best practices to initiate, plan, and execute large-scale, cross-functional, and company-wide critical programs.
• Providing technical mentoring to team members.
• Ensuring detailed and timely bug reporting and ensuring Jira sanity.

Qualifications required for this role include:

• Being obsessed about quality and customer satisfaction.
• Having experience with platform and kernel-level testing such as AOSP, Linux.
• Possessing an in-depth understanding of application APIs and experience in testing them using manual and automation methods.
• Having experience in UI testing and automation either in desktop or mobile applications.
• Experience in leading or mentoring a team.
• Demonstrating clarity in thought and communication when providing feedback.
• Being detail-oriented and able to find the needle in a haystack.
