Job Description
As a part of Jefferies Financial Group Inc., your role will involve the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with IND AS, IFRS, and USGAAP. Additionally, you will support internal and external audit processes, including the review and/or preparation of working papers, schedules, analysis, and other necessary documentation. Your responsibilities will also include preparing regulatory reports as required by local regulatory authorities and ensuring that India legal entities meet reporting deliverables and deadlines by liaising with internal resources such as Operations, HR, IT, Risk, Audit, and Tax.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of monthly and annual financial statements following IND AS, IFRS, and USGAAP
- Support internal and external audit processes, including review and/or preparation of working papers, schedules, and analysis
- Prepare regulatory reports as required by local regulatory authorities
- Collaborate with internal resources to ensure timely reporting deliverables and deadlines are met
- Review and/or prepare India direct and indirect tax provisions, including withholding tax and service tax compliance
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelors degree
- Qualified Accountant CPA or equivalent
- 5+ years of Accounting/Finance experience
- Understanding of broker dealer, banking, and tax regulations
- Good understanding of accounting standards under Indian GAAP, US GAAP, and IFRS
