Job Description
As an experienced engineer, you will be responsible for driving product development with predictability, autonomy, and reliability in engineering delivery. Your role will involve ensuring that products are efficiently manufacturable, serviceable, and meet high quality and reliability standards. You will focus on cost-effective development, production cost reduction, and indigenisation while contributing technical innovations aligned with market needs and emerging trends. Leveraging AI tools to enhance design review, verification, and development efficiency will be a key aspect of your responsibilities.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Identifying and implementing opportunities for performance improvement and optimization.
- Collaborating closely with industrialization, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams.
- Coordinating with suppliers, alliances, and technology partners for outsourced development.
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, PDP, and design QA frameworks.
- Maintaining and updating SOPs, work instructions, and technical documentation.
- Conducting milestone reviews, technical demonstrations, and ensuring smooth integration across cross-functional teams.
- Promoting technical mentorship through training programs for core and cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrating ownership, collaboration, and commitment to excellence, especially during critical milestones.
Your skills and qualifications should include:
- Strong fundamentals in electronics, microcontroller-based embedded systems, and communication interfaces.
- Hands-on experience with electronic components (passive/active), ICs, and sensors.
- Proficiency in component selection and integration based on technical requirements and constraints.
- Skills in creating block diagrams, schematics, design calculations, BOMs, and documentation.
- Experience with hardware/firmware design, simulation, testing, and debugging tools and methodologies.
- Proficiency in schematic and PCB design tools such as Eagle, Altium, etc.
- Expertise in writing optimized, reusable, and scalable code in Embedded C.
- Ability to create and execute comprehensive test plans to validate design performance.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving capabilities throughout development and validation stages.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills with a strong sense of ownership.
