Director, AI/ML & Data Science

As the Director of AI/ML & Data Science at Gracenote India, your role will be pivotal in driving the success of data science teams globally. Your primary responsibilities will include: - Managing multiple teams of data science and analytics engineers, ensuring productivity and successful business outcomes. - Collaborating with local and global management to drive key deliverables and outcomes. - Cultivating a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning based on Nielsen values. - Establishing transparent communication channels and a positive high retention environment for associates. - Monitoring KPIs related to productivity and employee retention. - Building and maintaining a talent pipeline by fostering connections with Universities and supporting internships and new joiner programs. - Implementing an automation mindset to optimize recurring analyses and simulations for efficiency. - Overseeing the deployment and maintenance of machine learning models, AI solutions, and data pipelines in a production environment. - Enforcing quality assurance processes to uphold the integrity and accuracy of audience measurement data. - Driving research initiatives to enhance existing methodologies and incorporate predictive analytics into operational processes. - Identifying and implementing market research methodologies suitable for media measurement. - Representing the Global Data Solutions Data Science and Analytics team in cross-functional engagements. In addition to the above responsibilities, your qualifications for this role should include: - Bachelors/Masters degree or PhD (preferred) in a quantitative research field. - 10+ years of experience in Data Science, AI, deep learning, and statistics. - Strong track record in team building. - Proficiency in statistical coding languages such as Python, Spark, SAS, R, Scala, and/or SQL. - Experience in cloud-based environments, preferably AWS. - Familiarity with business tools like JIRA, Airflow, Confluence, Smartsheets, and Google Workspace suite. - Excellent statistical and analytical skills. - Expertise in data integrations and developing data pipelines.
