As a Digital Technology Advisor - Software Architecture at Baker Hughes, you will play a key role in defining and driving enterprise technical architecture across SSPS teams and domains. Your responsibilities will include: - Applying technical knowledge to design and programing phases of software engineering projects through schematic design, document design, and construction design. You will research and evaluate emerging technology, industry, and market trends to provide recommendations for technical product direction. - Using existing technologies, approaches, and methodologies in new combinations to design new products, systems, or processes. You will be seen as a specialist in the discipline. - Presenting project plans, technical roadmaps, risks, and recommendations to senior business leaders within the technical space and partner technical teams. - Communicating solutions across your own function and with cross-functional partner organizations. To be successful in this role, you should have: - Cloud-native and distributed system architecture experience on AWS - 15+ years of experience in software engineering and architecture - Deep expertise in design patterns, scalability, performance, and reliability - Experience in data engineering and ETL architecture for large-scale platforms - Practical experience applying GenAI/ML in enterprise production systems - Ownership of end-to-end architecture and multi-generation technical roadmaps - Architecture governance, standards, and technical risk management skills - Architectural fluency across Java, Angular/JavaScript, and Python - Strong focus on production readiness, observability, and operational excellence - Experience in building performant, reliable solutions using FMEA-driven design - Experience in Infrastructure as Code, DevOps/CloudOps practices, and test automation strategy At Baker Hughes, we value diversity and recognize that everyone has different work preferences.
