Job Description
Role Overview:
As the Data Management Manager at Amgen, you will play a crucial role in managing the execution of Data Platforms Operations in collaboration with the Technology team. Your main responsibilities will include driving continuous innovation, operational excellence, and cost efficiencies. You will lead the prioritization, execution, and deployment of features in one of the Commercial Data Platforms Product teams, aligning with standard operating procedures. Additionally, you will partner with global teams and functional partners to implement additional capabilities to the platform in line with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the prioritization, execution, and deployment of features in one of the Commercial Data Platforms Product teams
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the US Commercial Organization to gather requirements, design solutions, conduct testing, and document processes
- Partner with peer teams and technology teams to review requests, estimate effort, and prioritize requests in the Product backlog
- Ensure governance processes are followed, conduct system testing, User Accepting Testing (UAT), and maintain documentation for traceability
- Work with syndicated data sets including IQVIA data, Digital Marketing data sets, and internal data sets to enable insights around Prescriber & Patient behavior
- Manage the Big Data platform infrastructure including access, costs, data quality, and ad hoc capabilities for users
- Evaluate and implement tools and technologies to support the future state of the platform such as Automated Anomaly detection and Gen AI capabilities
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and strategize roadmap for deployment
Qualifications Required:
- Masters degree with 4 to 6 years of data management experience OR Bachelors degree with 8 to 10 years of relevant data management experience
- Experience working in global teams and across time zones
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills
- Prior experience in high-performing data management teams, executing in Agile Product teams, and major data transformation projects
- Hands-on experience with technologies such as AWS and Databricks, data analysis tools like SQL, Python, R, etc.
- Quick learning agility and ability to collaborate with peers to drive business outcomes
