Data Engineer

Role Overview: Join our offshore team to support the analytics team of a global retailer. You will develop a deep understanding of the client's business environment and assist in executing analytics strategies for loyalty campaign management, promotional cards business, and other relevant dimensions. This hands-on role will allow you to leverage your design thinking, business understanding, and technology skill-sets to create analytical solutions. Key Responsibilities: - Develop a thorough understanding of the customer's business model and data to provide analytical and reporting support for the Cards business. - Engage in discussions with various client stakeholders to generate insights and recommendations that address complex business challenges. - Acquire a comprehensive knowledge of customer data sets to create optimized SQL programs for data extraction and table creation, enabling the development of relevant views on dashboards. - Demonstrate the ability to develop and automate dashboards, data pulls, task schedulers, and workflows using scripting languages like Python. - Independently participate in and contribute to discussions and brainstorming sessions with senior stakeholders. - Exhibit excellent business maturity by creating relevant presentations tailored to the audience, agenda, and business results, with a strong focus on effective storytelling. Qualifications: - Proficiency in SQL (including CTE functions and Stored Procedures), PPT, and Excel. - Experience with a dashboarding tool (preferably PowerBi). - Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
