As a Data Analyst at Chegg, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Analytics Team by delivering key performance metrics and communicating conclusions drawn from various sets of data for the business. Your responsibilities will include: - Performing exploratory data analysis to discover patterns, trends, and anomalies in any type of data. - Developing forecasts and performing trend analysis for several KPIs parameters to facilitate successful business operations. - Conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses to address specific business questions. - Creating highly optimized SQL queries to extract details from databases, understanding complex datasets, and schemas for different products and process changes. - Taking the lead on multiple projects and setting up Analytical reporting. - Generating clear and compelling reports and dashboards to effectively communicate findings to stakeholders. - Summarizing key takeaways and providing useful insights for better business decisions. - Solving complex business problems and proposing solutions. - Performing statistical tests on the data, A/B testing, and different sample analyses. - Identifying opportunities to enhance data processes and contributing to continuous improvement efforts. To qualify for this role, you should meet the following requirements: - BS/MS in Science, Math, Engineering, or Statistics. - Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Data Analyst. - Excellent SQL query writing skills, with the ability to optimize queries and build nested queries. - Proficiency in advanced Excel and PowerPoint. - Ability to write/tweak codes in Python for data analysis and insights, along with setting up ETL job for data movements. - Experience in creating visualization reports using Tableau and Amplitude. - Strong knowledge of SQL and Python, statistical methods, and concepts. - Proficiency in data mining, cleansing, and munging. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as presentation skills. - Willingness to work flexible/international hours as needed. - Effective teamwork and autonomy skills.
