Job Description
As a Chief Architect/Technology Strategy Lead at InterraIT, your role involves providing architectural leadership for complex enterprise engagements and supporting the development of emerging technology capabilities. You will bridge business objectives with technical execution by guiding architecture decisions, resolving complex technical challenges, and collaborating with delivery and sales teams to ensure scalable and reliable enterprise solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enterprise Architecture & Platform Modernization:
- Lead the architectural vision for enterprise systems, focusing on modernization of legacy platforms, distributed applications, and high-scale data systems.
- Guide design decisions to ensure system scalability, performance, and long-term maintainability.
- Technical Leadership & Complex Issue Resolution:
- Serve as the senior technical escalation point for complex architectural and performance challenges across projects.
- Partner with engineering teams to diagnose performance bottlenecks, infrastructure constraints, and integration issues, providing hands-on architectural guidance when required.
- Architectural Governance:
- Establish and maintain architecture standards and best practices across projects.
- Review solution designs to mitigate technical debt and ensure architectural consistency across the project portfolio.
- Emerging Technology & Innovation:
- Lead evaluation and implementation of emerging technologies, including Generative AI, agentic workflows, and advanced data platforms.
- Develop reusable frameworks, accelerators, and solution patterns to improve organizational delivery efficiency.
- Presales & Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Support sales and delivery teams during technical pursuits by contributing to solution architecture, proposals, and client-facing workshops.
- Translate complex business requirements into scalable and maintainable technical roadmaps.
- Capability Building & Mentoring:
- Mentor senior engineering staff in architecture principles and modern development practices.
- Strengthen internal technical capability by identifying skill gaps and supporting capability-building initiatives.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience in enterprise software engineering and architecture
- Proven experience modernizing legacy enterprise platforms and designing distributed systems
- Familiarity with Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and modern architecture patterns including microservices and APIs
- Practical experience with development stacks such as Python, .NET, and relational/non-relational databases
- Experience with enterprise systems such as ERP, Supply Chain, or operational planning platforms is highly desirable
