Job Description
You will be joining the Citi Analytics & Information Management (AIM) team, a global community that focuses on connecting and analyzing information to provide actionable intelligence for business leaders. As the Anti Money Laundering (AML) Data Science & Model Management (DSMM) analyst based in Bangalore reporting to the VP, your primary role will involve various analysis tasks within different projects. This includes threshold tuning, segmentation, data modeling/validation efforts, and working on projects such as Optimization, Logistic Regression Model development, anomaly identification, outlier detection, ATL threshold tuning, customer segmentation using clustering, and Logistic Regression Model Performance Review.
Your responsibilities will include applying quantitative and qualitative data analysis methods, preparing statistical and non-statistical data exploration, validating data, identifying data quality issues, automating data extraction and preprocessing tasks, designing and maintaining complex data manipulation processes, and developing new transaction monitoring scenarios. You will also be required to document solutions, present results in a simple way to non-technical audiences, generate new ideas, concepts, and models, and identify relationships and trends in data.
Qualifications required for this role include 2-4 years of experience in the Financial Services/Analytics Industry, a Masters degree in a numerate subject, previous experience with financial services companies, good knowledge in Python, SQL, Hive, experience in prompt Engineering & Generative AI, strong statistics and data analytics academic background, good knowledge of MS Excel, VBA experience, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Team working experience, the ability to work well with a variety of people, and a proactive attitude are also desirable.
