Job Description
As an investment professional in this role, you will have significant autonomy and clear ownership. You will be responsible for sourcing and supporting investments in leading industrial technology, infrastructure software, and enterprise AI companies primarily at the Series A to Series C stages. Your contributions will be crucial in diligence and conviction-building and active participation in post-investment value creation alongside senior team members. Operating with venture-level intensity, a strong work ethic, and a collaborative mindset will be key attributes for success in this role, as you drive diligence and deal execution in close partnership with the India Partner, earning trust with founders and internal stakeholders.
Your core responsibilities will include:
- Working closely with the investment team across every key step of the investment process, from thesis development to company diligence, to inform investment decisions.
- Developing and maintaining financial models for funding and valuation purposes, as well as assisting with investment structuring.
- Contributing to the firm's thought leadership through researching and producing content on industry trends and insights.
- Supporting the backed companies post-investment through activities such as making customer introductions, providing data-driven insights, and identifying synergies among companies.
Consider the above responsibilities as the minimum requirement, not the limit. You will have the freedom to experiment with new ideas and expand your scope of work as long as you continue to deliver on your core responsibilities.
To be eligible for this role, you should have:
- A Bachelor's degree in engineering. An MBA or technical master's degree from a top-tier school is a strong plus.
- 3 to 5+ years of experience at an Industrial, AI, or Climate focus Venture Capital fund, Investment Bank, or a high-growth startup.
- A keen interest and understanding of trends and players across Industrial AI (robotics, data analytics, industrial software tools), and Climate Tech (energy, sustainability) is a strong advantage.
