Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning Engineer - NLP/LLM

As a motivated AI/ML Engineer (LLM & NLP) with hands-on experience in Large Language Models and Natural Language Processing, your role involves supporting the development, fine-tuning, and deployment of intelligent AI systems. You will collaborate with senior engineers to build scalable AI-driven solutions. Your key responsibilities include: - Assisting in the development, fine-tuning, and deployment of LLMs and NLP models for real-world applications. - Building and enhancing information extraction pipelines, including: - Entity recognition (NER), Metadata extraction, classification, and normalization - Structuring outputs into JSON/database-ready formats - Working extensively on Prompt Engineering by: - Designing, testing, and optimizing prompts for extraction, summarization, Q&A, and classification - Implementing prompt templates, guardrails, and evaluation workflows - Collaborating with senior engineers to integrate models into production systems using APIs and services - Monitoring model performance, analyzing failures, and recommending continuous improvements - Staying updated with advancements in LLMs, transformers, NLP, and retrieval/extraction techniques. Qualifications required for this role include: - Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in AI/ML/NLP/LLM projects (strong internships/projects considered) - Strong understanding of machine learning fundamentals and model evaluation techniques - Proficiency in Python - Experience in NLP Information Extraction, including custom NER/entity extraction from text or documents, and extracting key fields/metadata to convert unstructured text into structured outputs - Understanding of prompt patterns, prompt iteration using evaluation datasets and error analysis - Familiarity with at least one deep learning framework: PyTorch or TensorFlow - Experience with data handling, preprocessing, and dataset management using Pandas/NumPy. Good to have skills include: - Hands-on experience with transformer-based models - Experience using Hugging Face Transformers, spaCy, NLTK, or similar NLP libraries - Experience working with document formats (PDF/HTML/DOCX) and noisy OCR text. Additionally, you are expected to have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with good communication and teamwork abilities.
