Role Overview: Join the Peer Engineering Discovery Team at Gartner as an Architect, where you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver business value, build functional prototypes, validate technical options, produce architecture & solution design documents, and ensure applications meet well-architected standards & budget requirements. Key Responsibilities: - Closely collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver business value - Build functional prototypes based on product requirements & quickly iterate based on continuous feedback - Research, evaluate and validate technical options, and make recommendations for evolution & adoption - Produce architecture & solution design documents to inform delivery teams - Ensure applications meet well-architected standards & budget requirements - Participate in peer discovery, architecture and planning discussions, influencing technology direction and standard setting Qualifications Required: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or other related technical degree - 8+ years of professional experience in customer-facing web application development - 5+ years of professional experience in cloud computing platforms - 4+ years of professional experience in software architecture design - Proficiency with at least one major backend programming language (Java, Golang, Python) - Solid understanding of well-architected system design principles and best practices - Solid understanding of Domain Driven Design principles and best practices - Strong qualitative and quantitative problem-solving skills - Effective time management, organization, and prioritization skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to effectively interface with both technical and business audiences - Be intellectually curious, open minded, and possess ability to learn new concepts, tools & technologies quickly Additional Company Details: At Gartner, Inc., we guide the leaders who shape the world with expert analysis and bold ideas to deliver actionable, objective business and technology insights.
